Antoninien de billon de l'Empire romain frappé à Rome entre 247 et 249 au nom de Philippe II. Fils de Philippe l'Arabe, nommé César en 244, il est élevé au rang d'Auguste en 247 et meurt avec son père en 249.

Avers : buste radié, drapé et cuirassé de Philippe II à droite. Légende IMP PHILIPPVS AVG (L'empereur Philippe Auguste).

Revers : pax (la Paix) debout à gauche, tenant une branche d'olivier de la main droite et un sceptre transversal de la gauche. Légende PAX AETERNA (La Paix éternelle).

Conservation : TTB. Légère usure des reliefs sur les deux faces. Patine grise.

Roman Imperial billon antoninianus of Philip II, struck in Rome while he was Augustus alongside his father Philip the Arab (247-249 AD). Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right; reverse with Pax standing left holding an olive branch and a transverse sceptre.
