Antoninien en billon de l'Empire romain frappé sous Gallien, entre 253 et 268. Le revers VIRTVS AVGG, au pluriel, appartient au règne conjoint avec Valérien (253-260). La pièce est attribuée à l'atelier de Trêves.

Avers : buste radié et cuirassé de Gallien à droite. Légende GALLIENVS P F AVG (Gallien, pieux, heureux, auguste).

Revers : gallien debout de face tourné à droite, vêtu militairement, le manteau flottant au vent, tenant une enseigne de la main droite et une haste transversale. Légende VIRTVS AVGG (Le courage des augustes).

Conservation : TTB. Flan irrégulier aux bords éclatés. Reliefs légèrement usés sur les deux faces. patine grise aux reflets argentés.

Billon antoninianus of Gallienus, with his radiate and cuirassed bust right on the obverse and the emperor in military dress holding a standard and a transverse spear on the reverse. The plural AVGG points to the joint reign with Valerian (253-260).
